Hey everyone,
Jakob here, one of the two co-founders of Stay on-chain. It’s been a while, and yes, some dust has settled on this substack. Time to shake it off.
Back when Gabriele and I started this project during university, it published for 83 weeks straight. No breaks, no skips. Even through the most boring periods of the bear market. SOC grew and evolved. And so did we.
After graduation, life took us in different directions. I joined the industry full-time, while Gab kept SOC alive and built a strong community around it. Over time, though, this substack went quiet.
Now, it feels right to bring Stay on-chain back, with a slightly new flavor. I’ll be the one writing from here on. The newsletter is back, but with a more personal and opinionated tone. Expect one issue per week, focused on markets, DeFi, and the intersection with TradFi. The goal stays the same: cut through the noise, highlight what matters, and share the kind of signals I find useful myself.
Where next? First, I’ll focus on bringing back the regular weekly issue. From there, I’d love to revive one of my favorite parts of SOC, the SOC Wallet: openly managing a DeFi portfolio, tracking performance, and benchmarking it against the market. I plan to rebuild this in a transparent, systematic way over time. That’ll take some work, but I’ll keep you posted. Always happy to chat and hear your thoughts - just reply to this email.
For now, Stay on-chain is officially back. First issue drops Monday.
Jakob
